Thornaby Dubliners continue to lead the way after a dominant display against new boys, New Marske. Tom Atkinson, signed in the summer from the former Nunthorpe club, was the Dubs hero with a double hat-trick in a 6-0 win.
Friday’s game saw Stokesley continue their bright start after their transfer from the Wearside League. Goals from Joel Gordon, Steve Cattle and a Louis Benoit hat-trick helped Stokesley Sports Club go top on Friday night. The North Riding League newcomers are one of five 100% sides in the top tier following a 5-0 victory over visitors Staithes, at Broughton Road.
Stockton West End are another of those in-form starters, however, they fell behind to goals from Ryan Todd and Lewis Kaid, at St Marys 1947. However, West End weren’t to be beaten as Jack Campbell pulled one back and Ben Turner levelled. Campbell then broke St Marys hearts with a winner as West End won a five-goal thriller, 3-2.
Yarm and Eaglescliffe shrugged off their midweek defeat at Thornaby with a 2-1 success at Redcar Newmarket. Marshall Thorogood was on target twice, cancelling out Michael Dowse’s penalty, late in the first half.
Champions Boro Rangers were victorious again, with a late burst taking out Kader, who scored through Drew Lambert. Rangers’ Richard Cook hit a hat-trick, with Dan Lockwood adding a fourth.
BEADS have their first points of the season after a 5-3 victory against Guisborough Town Reserves. Ben Bonner blasted a hat-trick, with Ben Hugill and Elliott McGlade also on target. Town notched through Dean Wilson, Paul Young and John Howard.
